About the event

Bren Joy, a Nashville native, burst onto the music scene in 2018 with his genre-blending artistry fusing gospel, R&B, jazz & pop. His early singles, including “Henny in the Hamptons” and “Sweet,” quickly gained traction captivating a growing fanbase. Bren’s debut project, TWENTIES, explored the emotional highs and lows of early adulthood through themes of hope, self-love, and self-discovery. The eight-song collection resonated deeply, amassing over 250 million streams and leading to collaborations and shows with artists such as Denzel Curry, Pink Sweats, and Cory Henry.

Now poised for his next chapter, Bren Joy is set to release his debut album, SUNSET BLACK, on February 21. This highly anticipated project delves into the complexities of love and self-discovery, with raw instrumentation inspired by the organic East Coast sound. Bren continues to push boundaries by collaborating across genres, incorporating folk, Hip-hop and jazz influences into his signature Alt-R&B style. The album boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Michael Brun (J Balvin, Ed Sheeran), Sam Barsh (Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar), Bartees Strange (Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore) and Zach Ezzy (Smino, Lil Yachty).

With a sold-out tour in Asia, an upcoming North American headlining tour, and visually stunning content accompanying Sunset Black, Bren Joy is solidifying his status as a rising star in contemporary music. His dynamic storytelling and fearless exploration of love’s many facets underscore the universal truths of self-growth and resilience, cementing his place as an artist to watch in 2024 and beyond.
