Big Thicket is a dark, sassy, and swingy Americana quartet from Baltimore, Maryland.  Following the lead of songwriter Aaron Mirenzi, the group whistles through the graveyard of americana.  Masquerading as a pure bluegrass band, they stray from the script of traditional music, and instead follow the “will of the song”.   Irreverent and original songwriting is matched by the powerhouse instrumentalism of Daniel Skinner (guitar) ,Victoria Grier (Fiddle), and Colin Rappa (upright bass).  The promise of Big Thicket is that every song will sound distinct from the song played before it.   The only commonality:  a rock’n’roll attitude!
