The Cassaday Concoction is a blues-funk-rock fusion band founded in the summer of 2018 by Virginia based singer-songwriter Chris Cassaday. The band, consisting of Chris’s close friends Brian Gerrard on lead guitar, Dom Ryan on bass, and Adam Bush on drums, have proven very quickly that they are must see performers. Since starting in 2018, the Concoction has rocked the stage at some of the most prestigious venues the DC, Virginia, and Maryland areas have to offer, while bringing a swarm of enthusiastic fans, both new and old, with them. Each member’s eclectic mix of musical backgrounds gives the band’s sound a unique and powerful edge, luring the audience in with catchy harmonies, hard-punching rock and roll, soothing soul music, and classic crowd-favorite cover songs. Their shows truly are a “Concoction” of musical euphoria. After joining Chris in the studio on a number of his solo tracks, the Concoction released their debut album “I Need To Be” on September 9th, 2022, followed by the four singles “Paint A Picture”, “Ghost”, “Big Living”, and “Adrift” throughout 2023 and in to 2024. The band is currently working on new music set to release in late 2024 early 2025.
Miss Monster is a dynamic rock band based in Washington, DC. An electrifying blend of old-school rock and soulful funk, Miss Monster’s music features powerful lead vocals, ripping guitar solos, jazzy keys, and one of the tightest rhythm sections in the city.
The band’s most recent releases are singles, “Sign Off” (December 2024) and “So Far Gone” (March 2025). “Sign Off” is the band’s most laid back release to date. It leans pop-funk before twisting into a latin-influenced breakdown that features James Baldassano’s keyboards and the band’s newest member, Lex Lehr, on guitar. “So Far Gone” unabashedly shines as an over-the-top follow up to “Sign Off.” It pulls in wide ranging influences from the Main Squeeze and Meat Loaf. Teddy Scott’s ripping guitar duels with Baldassano’s synth before Susanna Lustbader’s vocal harmonies find calmness in the bridge. Joe Goldfrank and Will Lockery fearlessly anchor the rhythm section across it all.
Formed in 2021, Miss Monster first appeared as the backing band for Ben Creel Suarez (The Hipsnacks, Bencoolen). Since then, Miss Monster has restructured, co-headlined Pearl Street Warehouse, and opened for Giacomo Turra, Phillip-Michael Scales, William Tyler, and the legendary John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band.
Miss Monsters’ other projects, Bencoolen and Miss Moon, have toured around the East Coast, opening for acts such as Marcus King, Big Something, and Nate Smith. They have appeared at major music festivals, including Firefly and Musikfest, and have performed at venues like the 9:30 Club in DC and Brooklyn Bowl.
