Formed in Norfolk, VA during the vibrant musical landscape of the mid-1980s, The Distractions emerged as one of the favorite cover bands in the Hampton Roads college alternative rock scene. The band quickly gained a reputation for their raw, emotive, guitar driven sound reminiscent to their influences REM, The Replacements and The Smithereens.
