Born and raised in Iloilo City, Philippines, Vanessa Estaniel is a versatile vocalist and a well rounded musician. Known for blending pop, rock, jazz and opera in her performances, she showcases her ability to create diverse musical experiences in every show. Whether delivering powerful rock anthems, smooth jazz standards, or soaring operatic arias, Vanessa continues to pursue her love for performing around the DMV, Northeast and Midwest areas. You may have seen her in the last wedding you went to! In addition to her musical skills, Vanessa has extensive experience as a stage director and stage manager. Combining music with her behind-the-scenes expertise, Vanessa brings a musically captivating and visually engaging performance to her audience.

Humbalaya

Humbalaya is a voracious Washington D.C. based band performing original melodious funk, rock, and jazz-fusion music in the DMV area. Rooted in the College Park, MD music scene, Humbalaya has amalgamated into one continuous stew of varied musical flavors. Each new member, now totaling seven, has added exciting sonic elements, and the result is a musical dish good enough for the whole family. At one point performing a soothing intimate ballade, at another drawing on high-energy funk grooves, Humbalaya will take you on a journey through a tapestry of musical realms.
