Unity is DC’s hard-hitting, gravity-defying 311 tribute band! Unity has been bringing all of the 311 classics to Jammin’ Java since 2011, and will be back this year for another celebration. From Do You Right to Brodels, Transistor to Sunset in July, Unity will take you on a journey through all of the best years of 311 hits. With an amazing reproduction of 311’s sound and enough energy to blow the roof off, this 311 tribute is definitely the place to be. Trust us when we say, you won’t believe your ears!
Tobin James
Tobin James Jr. is an African-American singer, songwriter and musician who specialises in Funk, R&B and Alternative rock Music with elements of hip hop and punk. Drawing inspiration from the stylings of Prince, Rick James, Micheal Jackson, George Clinton and Vulfpeck among others, his music is characterised by infectious guitar rhythms and riffing, flamboyant keyboard/synthesiser, and most notably his unique voice and range. His latest studio album “Bops Per Minute” is available on all major platforms. The music is Funky and with a little edge to it, lyrically provocative and progressive. Typically performing with a 4-8 piece band featuring Rhythm and lead guitar, pianos and synths, bass, drums, percussion, multi vocal pieces, and the occasional horn & string sections, Tobin James and his band work intently to provide quality and theatrical entertainment for any event.
